So you want to start a blog. I mean, everyone has one, why not you? Right?
I started blogging when it was still relatively new. That was 19 years ago! My first few blogs were basically online diaries. Some of them are still online. It’s crazy to read back through them!
It wasn’t until about 6-7 years ago that I really started seeing blogs becoming businesses. My first big blog, Sarah Ruth Today, actually started to make some income. I was SHOCKED! Here I was, writing about my personal life, mostly about my wedding and then life as an Army Wife. And people started to pay me to write sponsored posts! Like, What?! If I knew then, what I know now, I would be so much better off in my blogging business. Unfortunately, that blog got hacked and I ended up losing around 46 posts. I was devastated. I got so depressed about it because several of the posts were about losing my grandparents and my dad. It was almost like losing them all over again. I went for a long time neglecting that blog.
When I finally got to the point where I wanted to blog again, I decided to start a new blog. That one is Blossom Girls Blog. It’s less than a year old now and is all about helping women thrive in their current stage of life. Which is something I struggle with as well. I’m not posting on there as often as I probably should, but I am still working on a few things for it!
What I finally realized is that I love to learn about blogging. I love to talk about blogging. I love to tweak my blogs and promote them on social media. So I am thrilled to be here and introduce you to Daisy Grace Creative! This website is for women who want to get freedom from a “9 to 5” job and have their own successful blog. I want to help them create a business from their blog. There are so many people making a full-time income from their blogs. I want to help you get there too!
While this blog is brand new and this is my first post, I am creating content to help you learn the steps to creating a successful blog, using email marketing, promoting your blog on social media, and so much more. Think of it as your go-to for blogging information!
Another part of my vision for this website is to build a community of women bloggers who will come together and encourage each other in their blogging journey. It’s not an overnight thing. It can take years of hard work to get to the income you need. But together we can be supportive and encourage one another to stick with the dream!
I’ll leave you with this:
Successful blogging is not about one time hits. It’s about building a loyal following over time. – David Aston
